Franciscan Retreats and Spirituality Center: Father Howard Hansen's 80th Birthday

                             Happy 80th Birthday, Fr. Howard!



On November 22, Fr. Howard celebrated his 80th birthday. This year, he also celebrates 53 years of priestly ministry and 36 years of sobriety. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Fr. Howard has taught in the major seminary and in college. He has served as a pastor, as a hospital chaplain, and as a retreat presenter. He loves to read, especially in the areas of Native American History, Scripture Studies and anything by or about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. One of his greatest pleasures is to play the accordion and to lead sing-a-longs for retreatants.



   We wish Fr. Howard every blessing and happiness in the days ahead.

Fr. Howard attended his first game at Target Field with Br. Bob and Nancy Murzyn in late September. If you look closely at the bottom right side of the scoreboard below you will see that Fr. Howard received some early 80th birthday congratulations that day.
