On this seventh day of the week, we remember God's calling Mary to be his
resting place as he prepared to enter our world. This first Christian, hearing
the Gospel from an angel, was worthy to be the Mother of God. We delight in her
friendship, prayers, and patronage, and pray that we too might be found worthy,
through the cross of Jesus, to be children of Mary and disciples of Jesus.
Dear Mary Mother of God, bless us with your reassuring love as we work out
our own vocations under your loving eyes.
